Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Position Summary: The Engineering Intern for FIS Digital Transformation team will be involved in a variety of interior products processes and industrial topics. The internship will cover many topics Industrial topics out of which the formalization our Lean manufacturing concepts, technologies involved in our business, our knowledge, and best practices.
At completion of this Internship, the Intern will have gained experience in many tools and concepts needed for a tier 1 supplier to perform at the right level and successfully compete.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Digital Transformation & Industrial team with various tasks/ projects such as the following but not limited to:
o Industrial timeline creation/updating
o power point creation/updating
o follow up on open PDCA items
o DoE analysis
• Understand theory of design and its process, analyze the gaps and opportunities to automate further our production sites towards Industry 4.0
• Help designing, launch automated systems in FIS NAO plants. Incudes writing specifications, standards of the production means
• Interface with the Automation team in FIS BG, sharing best practices, aligning deployments of new systems
• Autonomously carry out the follow up of the technical files, design studies, startup testing, and maintenance readiness of the automatic functions integrated by the suppliers in the production equipment
• Propose continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction
• Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site
