Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The role of an Autonomous Production Unit (UAP) Manager is to manage the team's operations as well as Human Resources matters related to team members.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Main Activities:

  • Comply with production plans and the Group’s standard processes; ensure the achievement of production plans.

  • Achieve financial objectives: prepare and present the UAP budget; manage actual production costs based on cost; maintain product margins and monitor series productivity (labor level, material consumption, etc.).

  • Manage the UAP team: ensure appropriate staffing levels, maintain a work environment that complies with HSE standards, identify training needs and recommend training actions, share information (transparency), participate in career management initiatives, etc.

  • Represent the factory towards the customer: respect the customer’s specifications regarding cycle time, deliveries, quantities, and costs; implement preventive and corrective measures in the production process to ensure customer requirements are met; ensure proper coordination with the customer’s quality team to comply with all customer standards.

  • Implement action plans to improve functionality/productivity and meet Group objectives; make necessary adjustments.

  • Participate in creating projects related to ESP (Production System Efficiency).

  • Coordinate resource planning with the factory industrialization department concerning stock, equipment, personnel, activities, etc.

  • Maintain dashboard indicators and reporting to manage lead time, supply chain targets, HSE performance, etc.

  • Understand the instructions/procedures related to S/R positions as well as CSR requirements and the impact of non-compliance; commit to enforcing these procedures personally and through my teams.

  • Ensure compliance with and continuous improvement of environmental, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.

Required Skills:

  • Leadership Competencies (LCM booklet: 10 core competencies)

  • Practical knowledge of production methods (Kanban, 5S, Hoshin, TPM, MRP)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team spirit

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar position or proven experience in a managerial role, Experience in an industrial environment.
  • Very good level of French & English
