Overall Responsibilities and duties

FORVIA is committed to leading the way in safety and sustainable industrial development. As an HSE Specialist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring compliance with regulations, fostering a culture of health and safety, and contributing to our sustainable future.

 

The main missions of the role are:

  • Ensure strict adherence to Group Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) rules, with a strong focus on safety and sustainability.
  • Conduct regular HSE compliance self-assessments and propose practical solutions to operational teams.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to support effective HSE management and continuous improvement.
  • Actively contribute to HSE communication initiatives within the site to promote awareness and engagement.
  • Lead general training sessions on HSE topics to enhance employee knowledge and skills.
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Collaborate with external providers and auditors to maintain alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, including the HSE site department, site employees, and medical and occupational health professionals.
  • Work seamlessly with external partners to support shared goals in safety and sustainability.

 

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Minimum education level:

  • Bachelor's degree (Bac+2) with an HSE specialization or industrial experience validating HSE knowledge

Professional Experience: 

  • 0-2 years of expereince as safety officer or related positions in manufacturing environment.

Skills and competencies: 

  • Proficiency in HSE tools and methodologies for risk assessment and prevention, data collection, problem-solving, etc.
  • Knowledge of national regulations and standards specific to the scope of their activity
  • Mastery of internal audit in HSE management systems is a plus
  • Proficiency in English is a plus
