Position Description


Title        : Sr.Engineer - PLM Specialist
Reports to    : Manager – Engineering Performance

Qualification & Experience
6-8 years of relevant working experience on engineering change management, design release process, excellent product & process knowledge and proficient on CAD tools like Catia V5 / UG Nx / Creo. 
3-5 years experience of support to end user on PLM Enovia or Teamcenter in automotive industry.

Description:
Lead the Global PLM activities in collaboration with functional PLM team. Co-ordinate with Global GIT & PLM Key User network and FCM functions representatives to propose new features, improvement ideas, identifying new opportunites on integrating key features/functions between CAD and PLM. 
Conduct key trainings, workshops & familiarzation sessions on PLM.


Primary Technical Skill Set:
o    Must have knowledge on PDM & PLM Systems (3D Experience / Enovia/ Team center)
o    Strong undestanding on Engineering Change management
o    Strong knowledge on CAD tools like CATIA V5 / UG NX / CREO
o    Should have good skills on defining Bugs and Unspecified Enhancements.
o    Should posess excellent knowledge on Business Rules / guidelines / STDs related to part management on FCM PLM System.
o    Excellent knowledge on key functionalities of PLM system (Part attributes, EBOM, CADBOM, MBOM, etc.)
o    Strong project management skills to lead functional projects

Roles and Responsibilities: 
o    Lead functional domain and collaborate with user, management, Group R&D, IT teams to setup key functionalities in the PLM
o    Propose value added enhancement, results adding new functionality to existing system
o    Follow-up on application defects raised, untill the resolution closure
o    Analyze the functional issues raised by the end users, key users and provide resolution
o    Setup, prepare and publish Global PLM Performance reports (KPI, PoD)
o    Validate CAD connectors integration w.r.t Teamcenter and various CAD softwares
o    Organize and/or lead workshops on new functional developments, create/udpate training documentation (training, methodologies, best practices)
o    Co-ordinate with Key User network on PLM topics and work as a key point of contact for FCM 
o    Perform and monitor UAT for each software upgrade (3DExperience/Teamcenter)
o    Demonstrate, validate and implement the effective ways of working on PLM tool
o    Define business rules associated with PLM, setup and monitor their application
